YOUTH
2023 was another record-breaking year for Alpha Youth across Australia! A total of 1,776 Alphas were run for youth, with 39,072 participants. All across Australia, young people are finding welcoming, safe spaces to bring all their questions and doubts.
Gen Z and Gen Alpha are both more connected than any generation in history as a result of digital technology. This is why our approach at Alpha Youth is not only event-based, but content-driven for digital and social platforms. In 2023, we reached 22,000 youth on Instagram and over 3,000 on TikTok. Our biggest reach yet! We have found that creating fresh content for youth provides youth pastors, youth leaders, chaplains, and students more ways to spark faith conversations.

We exist to SERVE the YOUTH & YOUTH LEADERS of Australia
Life Essentials is a collection of short videos filmed and produced in Australia, designed for teenagers to spark faith conversations with their friends. This series was created as a bridging tool, a “Pre-Alpha” Youth Series. An entire Life Essentials session can be run in under 20 minutes, and each episode explores topics around identity, purpose, belonging and faith.
In 2023, 254 Life Essentials courses were run across Australia, with 5,587 participants. Season 1 was such a hit that we decided to spend time in 2023 creating new content for brand new Life Essentials episodes. We are praying these new episodes equip leaders in schools and churches to spark faith conversations among more kids in 2024!

ESSENTIALS
The Alpha Youth Series with Australian Street Talks captures the thoughts and opinions of a diverse range of Aussie young people around the nation further contextualising the content, increasing the relevance and engagement of Australian young people with fresh content. Each week deals with topics of faith, such as “Who is Jesus?”, “Why Should I Read the Bible?”, and “Does God Heal Today?” The updated series has been designed to engage students in conversations around the big questions they might have about life, faith and meaning.

We have been able to expand positive partnerships with youth ministries across Australia in 2023. Alpha Youth hosted multiple workshops to equip and upskill youth leaders. Alpha Youth exists to champion those who champion young people.
We work to make it easy to invite young people to explore faith through Alpha Youth by providing new promotional resources that can be shared with one click; posters, graphics, videos, digital invitations, etc.
Shapers
Shapers was created to empower emerging church leaders in evangelisation and shaping the future of the Australian Church. With a next-gen focus, Shapers provides connection, prayer and encouragement for young adults who want to become leaders in their churches. Participants are given the opportunity to connect with global thought leaders and engage in perspective-shifting experiences online, locally and internationally.

Alpha in
SCHOOLS
Alpha in Schools is dedicated to serving the Church and promoting evangelisation by connecting to stakeholders in schools across Australia to introduce Alpha programs to students.
Alpha’s focus has always been fostering student-led and student-assisted Alphas within schools and to see that it’s growing year to year only goes to show what God is doing in the youth of Australia.

Over the course of 2023, Alpha Youth hosted SPHERES one-day training events in major cities across Australia. Students who wanted to make a difference in their school gathered together, dreamed for the future, and started planning effective evangelism strategies for their schools.
Our national SPHERES retreat was hosted in QLD and gathered 60+ students who wanted to immerse themselves in effective evangelism practices for their schools. We have seen an incredible increase in student-led Alpha’s as a result of our 2023 SPHERES cohort!
